Animals are important

I have some questions to ask:
1.Why do people have to eat meat,there are more foods in the world?
2.What did animals ever do to us,why should we eat them?
3.we could just drink protein shakes,how come we kill animals when there is more protein in the world?

FACT:Animals only hurt us beacause we kill them.
